Seventh edition from 1777. Bound in contemporary full leather binding with five raised bands to the spine. The title panels on the spine have been lost. The spine has light chipping at the top and bottom and a little edge cracking. The corners are bumped with some rubbing and fraying and there is surface wear to the front and rear panels with two narrow one inch long torn patches on the front panel. Binding a little slack at the front of the book but secure enough. Name of a previous owner in ink to the title page - Thomas Wale of Shelford near Cambridge - with the family name and a large number scrawled on the front endpapers. Browning to the endpapers with some staining to the rear endpapers. The pages are otherwise generally unmarked. First printing.
