no edition or printing stated only last copyright date of 1957, 3 chapters of the book first appeared in "Field & Stream", toning, light soiling and light foxing to edges of text block - rubbing to top & bottom edges of spine, boards and corners - a former owner enclosed the dust jacket in a mylar wrap and then taped the flaps down to the front & rear paste-downs, price-clipped mylar enclosed dj shows light edge wear with a little scuffing to folds - 1/2" tear to top center edge of front panel - toning, light soiling, very light foxing and a single 1/8" diameter drip spot to rear panel with 1/8" & 1/4" tears to top right edge and 1/8" tear to bottom left edge - very small chip each to top of folds to flaps - price of 2.95 stamped to upper right of front flap, maps to front & rear end papers, enclosed is a "Sporting Classics" magazine article by this Author illustrated with paintings by Lee Stroncek, see my photo, it is one of the chapters in this book though not illustrated with these paintings
