Intelligent Manufacturing In Industry 6.0

This volume discusses the critical role of climate resilient intelligent manufacturing across diverse industries, with a focus on the sustainable strategies to combat climate change in the sixth industrial revolution (Industry 6.0). This period, defined by the rapid advancement of intelligent manufacturing, emphasizes the circular green economy practices aimed at achieving net zero trash & net zero emissions. Despite the availability of advanced next generation technologies, many industries still use traditional manufacturing methods, missing the opportunity for smarter, greener operations. These industries are producing a lot of carbon footprints with these outdated systems without addressing emissions reduction across their whole supply chain. While some sectors have begun adopting these technologies, many neglect the vital shift towards sustainability and a green mindset. Their emphasis should lie on creating products that can be easily recycled/upcycled, with minimal energy input & efforts, low sorting complexities, and reduced time consumption without producing any trash that needs landfills or dumping sites. Therefore, this book presents practical applications of intelligent manufacturing in various industries and demonstrates how these innovations contribute to climate resilience & global warming mitigation. Within those specific sectors, this book offers a detailed exploration of the intersection of Industry 6.0, climate sustainability, and the transformation of manufacturing for a cleaner, smart future to come.
