Album of caricatures, showing 88 person, both members of the 1933 Oregon Legislature and other individuals at the capital, drawn by Murray Wade (1876-1961), a prominent west coast editorial cartoonist and publisher. Foreword by George Putnam (1872-1961), publisher and Editor of the The Capital Journal (Salem) from 1919 to 1953. Inscribed by Governor Earl W. Snell: ''Always the best to a great / Oregon Booster Comdr Scott / Earl Snell, Gov. / 1946''. Commander Alfred Willis Scott (c. 1893-1973) was the longtime host of the syndicated radio program ''Romance of the Highways.'' It was sponsored by Pacific Greyhound Lines, broadcast out of California, and promoted travel and tourism. It was heard on radio stations across several western states between about 1936 and 1952. A native of England, Scott was a highly decorated veteran of the First World War who immigrated to the United States in 1930.
