4 1/2 x 6" postcard, printed on the recto in blue ink, and in black and red at verso from the poet's holograph. According to Hagstrom & Morgan, one of less than 100 copies. Addressed to a family friend, with postage stamp and frank marks. A postcard broadside made by James Merrill as an announcement of an injury to his mother, Helen Plummer. The recto is illustrated with a drawing of a cane, on which is written "Sure It's The Same." According to Merrill's bibliographers, this was never offered for sale, and issued in a run of less than 100 copies. [Hagstrom & Morgan A33]. Very good with some small spots of soiling.
