PERRIS MONTECARLO Encens Sacré EDP 100 ml "Incense, an ancient essence of the soul, has traveled for millennia, suspended between earth and sky. In the rituals of the first civilizations, it burned as a sacred offering, transporting dreams and prayers towards the divine. We have retraced the paths of incense and chosen the quality that is most peculiar to us, coming from Somalia. Its scent has captured us, pervaded us, inebriated us..." (travel notes) The essence of incense comes from the resin of the Boswellia carterii tree. The best quality comes from Somalia. The harvest period is from November to February; during this period, the bark of the trees is incised to allow the resin to drip. After a few days, the resin hardens, forming gum, which is then ready for the extraction of the essential oil. ENCENS SACRÉ was born from the search for a sublime balance between two olfactory nuances of incense: the essence extracted by distillation, with a sweet, mineral, balsamic note, and the essence obtained through high-temperature distillation, which offers the true impression of burnt incense, in homage to the ancient art of fumigation. Supporting this duality, a floral heart of Moroccan Rose and Jasmine, and an enveloping base of Amber, Patchouli and Sandalwood. A complex, intimate, meditative perfume.
