Later UK edition in two volumes - only the second volume is present unfortunately containing books III and IV. Originally published in 1689 and 1690. Contemporary full leather binding. The spine has five raised bands but has no title panel and there is quite heavy chipping to the surface with a large section of the left side of the spine lost. There is also chipping at the top and bottom and some cracking along the edge next to the front panel but the binding is firm. The corners are bumped with some rubbing and there is some discolouration to the front and rear panels. The book has been damp at some time and the pages are quite heavily discoloured as a consequence with some warping throughout. The spotting and staining is worst at the back of the book with the index particularly affected. None of the pages are stuck together fortunately.
