Beautifully detailed dry-point etching of "Old Houses in Bridge Street Chester" by William Monk. William Monk (1863-1937) studied art at the Chester, England School of Art and later specialized in etching at the Antwerp Academy, in Belgium. Monk was a leading figure in the British etching revival, raising the level of etching to a greater form of printmaking.
