First UK Edition. Publisher's dark-pink boards with gilt lettering to the spine. Faint offsetting to both sets of end-papers otherwise a bright and clean VG++ copy. In the RARE VG dustwrapper which is clean but with wear and small chips at the head and tail of the spine and with a chip at the top right-hand corner of the front panel (just affecting the lettering). A former owner has unnecessarily applied several tape repairs to the verso. "Warbeck Hall is an old-fashioned English country house and the scene of equally English murders. All the classic ingredients are there: Christmas decorations, tea and cake, a faithful butler, a foreigner, snow falling and an interesting cast of characters thrown together.
