A sammelband of early hand-coloured fashion plates, including the first 26 (of 105) plates from Costumes des Femmes du Pays de Caux by Laurent Pecheux, Louis Marie Lane and Georges Jacques Gatine, together with the first 23 (of 47) plates from Costumes d;Ouvrieres Parisiennes by Lante and Gatine, together with plates 50, 54 and 56 from the first, 1817 edition of Le Bon Genre. No title page, since preceding the 1827 publication, and dated 1819 in manuscript to the front end paper, suggesting all plates are at least pre-1819, so bound before later numbers were published and consequently the first two named are likely to be complete up to the point of binding. Bound in roan backed boards. Binding a little worn and marked. Internally, plate 26 of the first named with closed tear to bottom margin, plate 6 of the second named closed tear to the top edge, plate 11 of the second named, small ink stain, plates occasionally a little spotted or marked but otherwise very tight and clean.
