Fire-Rated Acrylic Sealant for Passive Fire Protection Soudal Firecryl FR is a high-performance, fire-resistant acrylic sealant designed to maintain the integrity of fire-rated walls and floors by sealing joints and gaps against the spread of smoke and flames. When exposed to fire, it swells to form a char that blocks fire and smoke penetration. Ideal for linear joints, service penetrations, and connection joints in fire-rated partitions and construction elements. Product Details Type: Intumescent acrylic fire sealant Colour: White Packaging: 310ml cartridge Skin Time: Approx. 15–30 minutes Curing Time: 1–2mm per day (depending on humidity and joint depth) Application Instructions Preparation: Ensure joints are clean, dry, and free of dust or loose materials. Use backing rod if required. Apply Sealant: Cut nozzle to fit joint width and apply with a standard caulking gun. Tooling: Smooth with a wet spatula within 10 minutes of application. Finishing: Allow to fully cure before exposing to moisture or painting. Limitations Not suitable for joints subject to continuous water immersion or high movement.
