Uncommon title chronicling a poet's experience with illness and the spiritual reserves required to overcome. Well bound, solid copy. Boards are clean and firm with hardly any wear. Binding is very solid. Two small innocuous puncture marks at the front gutter which do not effect the binding whatsoever. Pages mildly age toned but still fresh. Small closed tear vertical at the bottom of page 9/10. Teeny stain to the foredge of the page block effecting the outside only of about 4 pages. No markings to interior, although there was a lengthy pencil note on the rear free endpaper which has since been erased, leaving a small trace of its presence. Jacket has most notably three crease lines on the front panel and a small stain by the foot and some light rubbing and dustsoiling on the rear panel but is generally clean and well kept. Small closed tear to DJ at the front joint by the bottom edge, small chip at the upper left corner, some rubbing along the edges, and a couple of chips and some creasing towards the head of the DJ spine. Now in brodart and despite all the notes above, still an attractive copy of this uncommon work.
