Contemporary, first hand account of the troop movements throughout Andalusia of Brigadier Conde de Valdecañas against the rebellious, Carabineros Brigade led by Rafael del Riego during the brief liberal rebellion favoring the return of the 1812 constitution. This rebellion successfully resulted in the Trienio Liberal, or three years of liberal rule, within Spain before an invading French army reasserted royal authority in 1823. Bound in 19th century marbled boards with corner and quarter leather and gilded lettering on the spine. Joints rubbed and cracked with some rubbing to spine, gently scuffed corners; all holding firmly. Marbled endpapers and contemporary to binding blanks.
