The Gilded Bat Edward Gorey

Stated first printing. Dust jacket is rubbed, age-toned, and mildly soiled, with two peeled spots on back cover, not interfering with illustration. Edges are rather chipped, especially top edge, with a 1" chunk missing from front cover at flap fold, not interfering with illustration. 1" closed tear at bottom edge of front cover, 3" closed tear to back cover top edge near spine, 2-3" closed tears to bottom edge of back cover at spine fold and near back flap. Spine is darkened and folds rubbed. Jacket is not price clipped. Illustrated paper boards are age-toned and very slightly rubbed. Corners bumped, bottom edge rather shelf worn. Shelf wear to head and tail of spine and some soiling to spine. Binding slightly cocked. Age-toning to interior and mild soiling here and there. A loved copy of this first edition that still presents well in mylar.
