First edition, first impression. Very Good+: firm and square binding in sharp red cloth; minor mottling by the top-edge of the cloth; bright gilt; toning to the edge of the page block and a little dustiness/marking to the top-edge; a faint trace of spotting to the endpapers and prelims, else crisp and clean. The unclipped dustwrapper (15s net stated) is likewise Very Good+: bright and vibrant; a touch of toning to the spine; lightly rubbed to the head of the spine and upper corners; a tiny mark to the rear panel and a couple of small adhesive residue marks to each flap (presumably from a removed protective cover); presented in a new removable, archival-quality Brodart protective cover. All orders are sent very carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard.
