This fantastic example of 20th-century vernacular cartography was issued in 1974 by Mid-America Publishers of Westfield, Illinois. A straightforward street map of Evansville and Newburgh, Indiana is surrounded by over two dozen eye-catching advertisements. The locations of promoted businesses are highlighted in red, along with highways, block numbers, and one-way streets. Cemeteries are identified using a concentration of crosses. A simple bird's eye view of the University of Evansville and a comprehensive street index are also provided. Sheet Width (in) 41.75 Sheet Height (in) 34.5 Condition Description Creasing and moderate wear along originally issued fold lines, including some small spots of separation at fold intersections. Faint discoloration along the far outer edges of the sheet, and some discoloration in the lower center margin. Good to very good condition overall. Blank on verso.
