The front endpaper bears two early original alchemical copper engravings, one depicting the sun, the moon & a winged sphere, the other depicting a man with seven heads inscribing a magical circle. There is also a small ownership ticket with the monogram "HSJ" beneath an image of a Phoenix. A clean sound copy of a very uncommon book. Briussov (1873-1924), a distinguished poet and the accepted head of the Symbolist school of Russian poetry, claimed to have translated it from an original XVIth Century German manuscript.
