Light markings and marginalia. Newspaper diagram of periods inserted at front of book, which has toned the adjacent map and text page. Nicely illustrated with dozens of black-and-white sketches throughout. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Flinders Petrie (1853-1942), a British Egyptologist who excavated many of the major Egyptian tombs and archeological sites.
