FILIPPO SORCINELLI Plein jeu III-V Extrait de Parfum 50 ml The free polyphony of the angels. The Plein jeu is an organ register composed of various rows of pipes that speak simultaneously on a note of the keyboard. It is considered the typical sound of the classical organ. This mixture of sounds is made up of increasingly smaller pipes that produce a rather high-pitched sound, almost beyond the human hearing threshold. In Italy it has a similar equivalent in the register called ripieno. Plein jeu or prélude have also become precise musical forms thanks to this register, mostly homogeneous pieces in binary or quaternary time. They are proper as introductory pieces and make use of wide and deep registrations.
