Studying children’s literature involves questioning how fantasy and representations of childhood relate to cultural contexts and a specific target audience. This work maps out the different perspectives on Children’s literature and Character Education and it teaches students how to encourage young people to appreciate Children’s literature. Depending on the program, the means of implementation may be by storytelling, which can be through books and media. This book examines how using the flipped classroom model provides opportunities to design and deliver courses using active learning and engagement strategies to facilitate students’ teamwork, creativity and critical thinking skills in a collegial environment. The purpose is to contribute to the advances in research on curriculum innovation through implementation of an active learning methodology and student centered teaching and learning.
