C., Baltimore). Issued 1864, New York by Johnson & Ward. Great Civil War era mid 19th century engraved map with lovely hand color. Original center fold as issued. Nine insets showing harbor and coastal locations. Poor condition- split down centerfold joined long ago with tape on reverse, paper is uniformly oxidized and is fairly brittle, some wrinkling and creasing, edge split repairs, small spots, etc. Please look at the pics closely, the map still has a nice appearance but is far from fine or well preserved.
