First UK edition, first impression. Precedes the US edition, which was issued the following year. Original red cloth with lettering to spine in gilt. Some off-setting to endpapers and some spotting to top edge and fore-edge with a couple of instances of compression to spine tips, otherwise excellent. The original and unclipped dust jacket has some moderate edge wear, primarily to the top, and a small nick to bottom corner of lower panel and half-way down the lower panel spine hinge. Some toning to spine panel and verso, better than very good otherwise.
