C., and is copyright 1924. Printed by Lanman Engraving Co., Washington D.C. Fred Schutz, the photographer, was commissioned after World War I to photograph some of the war's destruction and impact, especially in northern France. The frontpage advertises 'Copies from the Original 3 Foot Negatives May be obtained for $1.00 Each' Large oblong with pictorial paper wrapper with a a drawing reproduced of Montfaucon, Sewn binding with thread tied together. I suspect it was a small publication run by Schutz to promote his work, There are 28 leaves including title pages with over 50 views in total with printing on both sides of the page. Some of the photographs are numbered but are not in sequence, as usual The wrapper is a little worn with a heavy crease in top right corner of paper cover, else very good. Due to its small publication run and the paper cover, not many copies have survived.
