Malossi HTQ primary Gear 14/39 piaggio before 1998 Malossi HTQ primary gear set, 14/39 ratio, for Piaggio engines before 08/1998, compatible with all models using 12" and 13" wheels (e.g. NRG / Runner) and 10" models with high tire cross-section (Typhoon). A longer gear ratio shifts engine power to where it’s needed most, assuming the engine delivers the extra output. On heavily tuned engines, extended gearing offers a clear advantage. However, such gearing is not suitable for stock setups. Installation Note:The large gear must be pressed onto the original intermediate shaft. This requires special tools and/or a hydraulic press. We can offer you gearboxes from Stage6 that do not need to be pressed!
