; Maroon cloth cover with elaborate gilt embossed decor is frayed at corners and spine caps with some loss to the spine gilding and bumped corners but clean and in very good condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is starting. Former owner's bookplate affixed to front paste down. Front gutter cracked between end sheet and paste down but holding solid. Pages are toned with light thumbing but in very good condition. Illustrated in b&w.
