Nicholl. 1769, 377 pp plus index, 8.25 x 5.25, 8vo, modern rebound 3/4 leather hardcover. Overall very good, being nicely rebound in modern 3/4 leather. Exterior remains nice, with hinges remaining tight and text block bound well. End pages replaced. Original 1864 inscription in book removed and affixed at front. Includes foldout towards rear in good condition. Personal (detached) bookplate of author also included with book. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A scarce and nicely preserved piece. An earlier work by Arthur Young (1741-1820), an English agriculturalist and writer, who was also known for his social and political commentaries, including against British Reformers in the years following the French Revolution.
