A bound volume of 12 monthly issues of this uncommon Regency-era magazine for women, spanning January to December, 1823. Featuring articles covering general interest stories, the arts, music, 'society' life and contemporary fashion. Bound in contemporary half-calf with marble paper sides and gold lines across the spine. Extremities of the binding rubbed. The front hinge split along its whole length and with the cover loosely attached by its three cords. Loss to both head caps and to two small areas of leather covering on the spine. Lacking the engraved portrait plate for September as noted above. A moderate water stain affecting the outer edges of all of the portrait plates.
